Ridesharing
In our ridesharing database we collect rides offered accross the world. Visitors of our partner sites can submit rides or search for rides of their interest. Rides can be submitted by drivers specifying preferences like free seats, ride-fee, date of departure, etc. To simplify searching only single rides are stored. Hitchhikers can search the database using criteria to narrow the results. For example they can search for rides to or from a specific country or city, only free rides or rides within a specific time interval. On top of this visitors can use our e-mail notification service to stay updated about new ride-entries meeting their own criteria. Drivers can delete their entries when there are no empty seats left.
The database can be fully specified for a certain city, country or region both as a start or destination address. For example, a festival website can choose to show only rides offered to and from the festivalground.

Carpooling
Though similar to ridesharing, our carpooling database contains repeating rides instead of rides with a fixed departure date. Carpool-entries between cities within a country or even accross borders are collected in our database. Drivers can submit entries specifying free seats, ride-fee, smoking or non-smoking, etc. Carpoolers can search the database by using criteria similar to the ridesharing database.
