Current and potential partners are able to integrate content from the DataGroceries database into their own sites to improve the service to their visitors. DataGroceries offers this service, based on cobranding or content syndication, free of charge. The content is currently related to carpooling, ridesharing and budgettravel. DataGroceries is working with partners that offer websites related to young people and large scale events like popconcerts, but also university and backpacker websites. October 1st, 2001: New carpool-engine from DataGroceriesDataGroceries, a provider of international webdata, has developed a brand new carpool-engine. Similar to their already existing ridesharing database drivers can submit rides sepcifying free-seats, ride fee, smoking or non smoking, etc. Carpoolers can search the database or use criteria to narrow the results. An important difference with the ridesharing database is that submission have a repeating character. Carpool-entries between cities within a country or even accross borders are collected and offered. Partners of DataGroceries are now able to integrate the carpooling content into their own website. They can choose different ways of implementing this free of charge service, like cobranding or directly accessing the DataGroceries' database bij XML. September 3rd, 2001: Bugride becomes DataGroceries partnerBugride.com, one of the leading international hitchhiking websites, has started a partnership with DataGroceries. By integrating content of DataGroceries' ridesharing database into their own website, Bugride now has access to an international database containing worldwide offered rides. Visitors of www.bugride.com can submit rides or search for rides of their interest. Rides can be submitted by drivers specifying preferences like free seats, ride-fee, date of departure, etc. With bugride.com DataGroceries has added another prominent name to their constantly growing list of partners. July 10th, 2001: Ridesharing engine totally renewedDataGroceries has launched a new version of their ridesharing engine. With Ridesharing 2.0 DataGroceries is now able to integrate content of this database into partner websites. Also the database supports worldwide submission of offered rides and can be viewed in different languages. On top of this hitchhikers are able to search for rides using an advanced search option in which they can specify and narrow their search for rides of their interest. The first partner website to integrate this content is http://www.hitchhikers.org which supports more than 10 languages. |
