October 1st, 2001: New carpool-engine from DataGroceries
DataGroceries, a provider of international webdata, has developed a brand new carpool-engine. Similar to their already existing ridesharing database drivers can submit rides sepcifying free-seats, ride fee, smoking or non smoking, etc. Carpoolers can search the database or use criteria to narrow the results. An important difference with the ridesharing database is that submission have a repeating character. Carpool-entries between cities within a country or even accross borders are collected and offered. Partners of DataGroceries are now able to integrate the carpooling content into their own website. They can choose different ways of implementing this free of charge service, like cobranding or directly accessing the DataGroceries' database bij XML. For an example of the new carpool-engine take a look at http://www.carpoolplaza.com.
